Taking time for yourself is such an important part to your healthcare journey. We all get so caught up in taking care of others, that we forget to show ourselves some of that love. Self care can be achieved in so many ways...quiet time, reading a book, listening to a favorite song, doing anything that brings you joy. My favorite way to practice self care is to wake up early, make myself a BIG cup of coffee in my favorite mug, along with a large bottle of water. When I accompany that with a few chapters of a good book, it makes for a perfect morning, and puts me in the right mindset to tackle the tasks of my day ahead!
